This section is also a haven for World War II enthusiasts, with a plethora of bunkers, captivating exhibitions, and artifacts that will leave a lasting impression. Ascending to the main crest reveals picturesque meadows and charming villages nestled at the foothills. The majority of the crest is enveloped in verdant woodlands, necessitating a climb up one of the local lookout towers for panoramic vistas.

Meander through the magnificent nature reserve of Králický Sněžník, alongside the majestic Hrubý Jeseník and Nízký Jeseník ranges. For convenience, this section can be divided into two parts, offering a stopover in the town of Jeseník. Prepare to be enthralled by many highlights, including the summit of Králický Sněžník, the charming town of Jeseník, and the exhilarating crest trail leading to the iconic Praděd mountain. Spanning 140 kilometers, this section showcases diverse landscapes, solidifying its status as one of the main attractions along the entire thru-hike. For an alternative route, consider venturing towards Smrk mountain and exploring the crest of the Rychlebské hory range.

Podbeskydí – Beskydy

Now, you will link the picturesque Nízký Jeseník and Beskydy ranges. This tranquil path serves as the perfect opportunity to recharge your energy before embarking on the final section. While partially traversing the captivating Vítkovická vrchovina (highlands), it stands as the sole flat stretch within the thru-hike, providing a unique test of endurance for avid fans of steep trails.

But it doesn’t last long! Prepare yourself for an adventure unlike any other, with relentless ascents and descents that offer no break for weary legs. Experience two stretches punctuated by three challenging climbs to the summits of Radhošť, Smrk, and Lysá hora, each rewarding you with views amidst the backdrop of bark beetle-infested woodlands.
